Believe it or not, I have about a dozen posts basically ready to go. They go back to Christmas 2010. I got held up by my inability to attach a video properly. The fact that I couldn't do it the "right" way led me to not do it at all. This is a recurrent theme for me (see also, "housework" and "laundry" in the new construction zone we call home.)
I notice that Lorelei tends to observe things very carefully before attempting something new. It's as though until mastery is likely, she's not interested. For example, my parents have this fantastic wooden rocking horse they got me for my second birthday. Lorelei had been on it a handful of times with help but always wanted off pretty quickly. One afternoon, she figured out how to get on herself and now she rocks so rambunctiously that she turns the thing in a complete circle. (Incidentally, she's also highly offended if you try to spot her.) I know there are benefits to this trait, but it also makes me nervous. Some things you have to do very badly before you can do them even marginally well.
Like blogging.
So, in the interest of setting a proper example (and to appease requests for updates) here are some photos of Lorelei sporting her new snow pants. She loves to be outside- so much so that her newest request is "Out?" while pointing at a window. Pretty cute.

Yay! Gracias. What a cutie. Snow pants are the best:)
