Nothing like a splash party with Mommy in the tub to get things moving, apparently. I know. Gross. But I couldn't even wallow in the ishiness of it all because it was accompanied by lots of hysterical screaming- hers, not mine. For Lorelei, it wasn't the yuck factor though. She's been suffering from a little bout of constipation and it's been just awful for both of us. I know because this is not our first rodeo. Last time she was screaming inexplicably so I tried to change her diaper, discovered she was mid-effort, terribly distraught and desperately wanting to be held. What's a Mommy to do? Well, this Mommy didn't have it in her to even lay her suffering babe down long enough to get a new diaper on her. This is how much I love this kid- I literally love the shit out of her. So, there we are, teary and naked and covered in poop.
That's right. I choose poo over tears every time. And I stand by my decision.

Wow, gross. Hang in there! Piper and Eli both went through a "poop in the bath" phase. And something about the little drop-in daycare at the gym has always done it for Eli as well. And then there was the stretch of months where Piper had to lift her shirt up to do #2 (in diapers)... So weird. You have lots of fun with poop in your future, I'm afraid.
