The computer, not the fast food. Incidentally, I can't imagine when we'll let L eat junk food. It boggles the mind that she's this perfect little organism that is just thriving on fruits and veggies and milk, blissfully unaware of donuts and gobstoppers... Why mess with that? It reminds me of something David's mom said. After uncovering some medical issues, David went on a gluten-free diet and started eating more healthfully besides. David was not immediately on board with the changes, but his family persisted. His mom went so far as to replicate the school lunch menu, preparing and freezing healthy versions to send to school so he could continue to eat the same food as the other kids. (For the record, David's parents are incredible.) He dropped a good twenty pounds, I think- no small feat for a guy barely five feet. He's a new man. Where he used to plead for "movie," he now demands, "walk." Anyway, it's just really wonderful to see him so healthy and happy. Observing his transformation, his mom mused, "I need a Me for me." Don't we all...
Anyway, that wasn't the point. We were talking about keyboards, not french fries.
L taught us how to scroll down the other day. She's been doing it for ages, actually. But it wasn't until last week that we figured out how she was doing it. We're that slow. Really. Appalling, but true. (And you wonder why this blog is always so far behind. I can't wait until she can just take it over. I'm going to run it by her next week...) We use a MacPro and apparently you can slide two fingers down the mousepad and then you don't have to click and drag the bar to the right. (Are those even the right terms?!) Anyway, she's kind of a phenom, is what I'm saying.
If you want to really go wild, try the "4 finger sweep"!
ReplyDeleteYou just rocked our world. No joke.
